    Custom Radiator

After investigating a Sherco radiator I decided to bite the bullet and get a custom radiator. The reason was that the Sherco radiator had pipes in the wrong locations and I was concerned about it's performance at high speed (I was told they race with the choke out on the long straight bits).

I got a single radiator built with a bit more surface area than the original two KDX raditors. Norm at Aussie Desert Cooler (http://www.aussiedesertcooler.com.au/) sorted me out :)

    Electric Fan

Spal 5.6 inch fan seems perfect... but a tad too long... oh well...

    Mental Notes

Some thoughts for improvements and lessons learned

    • Next time put radiator cap on opposite side to shock
    • Make sure you take into account the steering travel (to avoid the shock hitting things like the raditor cap)
    • Make sure you take into account the suspension travel when positioning
    • Version 2 mounting use 100mm aluminium channel (instead of 65mm) because the radiator sits lower and the depth allows further travel in brake pedal

Hi Paul, I am seriously your no.1 fan. WHY u might ask? because you share information with others..=). Something like an open source project =)..I seriously wanna learn how to do a barrel conversion, water cooled to be exact on my px150. Can You suggest any reading materials in order to do this? I have the knowledge in vespa engine and basic two stroke tuning. It would be my greatest achievement and if I can do this..=)
Hit me up if you have the time
