For the Dry Lake Racer, we need a Smaller Flywheel and to save time we have decided to initially go with a total loss system that does not need anything from the flywheel except for a Hall Effect Sensor signal. Since we are making a flywheel, why not a complete ignition system. Since we are making a complete ignition system, why not make it a very cool one!

Here's what the system will be able to do:

  • have advance mapped against engine revs
  • have 2 mappings (one for each position of the power valve)
  • have knock sensing capability (reduce advance if preignition is detected)
  • vary timing while to engine is running via handheld control
  • detect engine load and also adjust advance
